Jaguar XJL White smoke and codes 3.0 V6
Hi I’m from Alberta Canada and I have Jaguar XJL 2016 3.0 V6 SUPERCHARGED PETROL. My Car is giving engine light with o2 sensor codes and White smoke it’s light on idle and more on acceleration or revving. Car runs completely fine no coolant lost I been keep an eye on it from last 100 Km, no over heating, no milky thing under oil cap and starts very easily. I been getting very bad fuel economy tho. CAR SHOOTS WATER DROPS WHEN I HIT REV LIMITER WATER HAS NO COLOUR OR ANY SMELL TO IT. Please advise what it could be because I heard head gasket is known issue on these or is it something else like fuel injector? CAR HAS 71900 KM VIDEO LINK ATTACHED PLEASE ADVISE https://youtube.com/shorts/Ps9A9mob00M?feature=share
Head gasket failure is often the cause of white smoke. If the gasket hasn't failed to the crankcase or coolant passages, you won't find a milky oil cap or bubbles in the overflow tank. There's no way I could do this on my V8, but maybe your V6 has better accessibility; check your spark plugs. The offending cylinder will have a really, really clean spark plug. It has literally been steam cleaned.
