Default Luggage compartment sensor

Hi team,
Starting to get a annoying message saying the luggage compartment is open when it's closed. Open and close it and the message goes away. What's annoying is if you lock the car, then open the boot from the fob, before unlocking the door, the alarm goes off. Am hoping I just need to readjust the open/close sensor. I've tried recalibrating it but doesn't get rid of the issue.
Anyone know where the sensor is located? 2011 XJ Portfolio, 5.0L N/A
Thanks! 🚗

The lid height setting should not make a difference. Open/close sensing is likely to be a microswitch within the latch (item 3) or the lock (item 12).

This open warning is a common issue on the doors of several Jaguar models and I expect a similar signal design using a microswitch is likely to have been used for the XJ luggage compartment lid.

Hi Graham,

Am pleased to report item #3 (latch) was the culprit. Been a week now and have had no faults. Appreciate your help 🚗
