I purchased a used xj Key Oyster fob for my Jaguar XJ 3.0 2010 as I lost my spare fob.

I have the original fob and wanted to know if there is any way to programme this 2nd key fob myself or is it a dealer only job? I was quoted £60 by Jaguar to re programme.

 

From what I understand it is a dealer who must reprogram. Make sure you give them both "fobs" as all fobs must be programed at the same time, I think. Also, you may need them to cut a new emergency key that is inside the "fob".
