Default A local dealer wants to trade me a '15 v6 F-Type coupe for the Snowcat+$20K

What do you think?

Silver / Black, similar miles.

Seems to book very close, Ive got $7K rims/tires that he wants as he's got an immediate buyer for my car.

Torn.

I would keep your car. If it was a v8, it would be tempting.

Sounds like a local dealer has a V6 F-Type Coupe he wants rid of...

But seriously, you're taking your very personalised XJ and swapping it for a factory F-Type? Doesn't seem like a great swap to me.

Bought my 2014 F-Type V8s with every possible option package except for ceramic breaks for $85k, nobody pays $100k for an F-Type. With absolute every option (incl. $12k for ceramics) you top out at $120K for a brand spanking new one.

I would not even think about that, unless you are not happy with the snowcat. I assume you are talking about the base F-type which does not have the electronic shocks, making the ride unacceptably rough, IMO. Also, while the V6 is OK, it will be no match for the V8 that you are used to having.

POlaris, I think of it this way: If the dealership is approaching you with the deal, they are making a lot of money on the deal. So, odds are, it is not in your best interest. Granted, I would be asking them to put you in contact with the person wanting to buy your car and see what they say (assuming you are willing to get rid of your car). Sometimes there are people that just have to have something and they are willing to pay whatever it costs to get it. This is sounding like one of those times.

Which would you regret more, not taking the deal and having the snowcat or taking it and having the F-type. Life is built on opportunities, and missed opportunites, and the sucess of a deal is that you have no, or very little, regret.
