Good Evening with
I hope I am on the correct forum. I purchased Jaguar logo lights that are compatible with my car. However, when I popped the door light out, the wires were not connected to the light. Instead, they were detached and hung from underneath the door panel, The logo lights had their own set of wires. I am perplexed as how I am supposed to connect the logo lights when there are two sets of wires, This is one of four purchased logo lights. This is the actual xj door light
because they obviously cannot connect to each other. I will post a pic of the logo lights I purchased (sitting on my PC) and the actual door lights I popped out (hanging from the door).
I put the same lights in my XJ. Just unplug the old light and put the new light metal pins in the plug. Mine kind off snapped in so they would not pull out very easily. It did not take lots of effort to pull them out but felt confident that they would stay in place
Doing so only complicates things and confuses others who search this Forum for answers to their questions. You should have continued your inquiry in your earlier thread.
Hopefully, a Moderator will combine both threads into one.
