Check engine light on and pulled the codes
P00C6
P008A
filled the tank with gas, tightened the cap I thought, and light came on as I was leaving the station. Driving all day just got home. Thanks in advance.
Thank you! Yep ran fine coming to work. Did you pull those codes from a manual, software, Topix,..do you recommend something manual wise?
From the TOPlx Workshop X351 Workshop Manual.
As you probably know, anyone can register for a TOPlx account but almost everything available requires a subscription charged by the hour, day, week, month or year. I paid for one day to download the WM's for both my current Jaguars.
The WM's used to be available as a single document and therefore an easy download but are now in separate sections. 1011 PDF's for my F-Pace which then had to be renamed and merged. A real pain but the best information source.
Sorry..thought I did. 2016 X351 5.0L supercharged. Another thought...Just before I filled up with gas the fuel light was on and probably running on fumes.. As I was approaching the gas station, I hit the gas pedal pretty hard up a very steep hill to get there. Could the little remaining fuel "slosh" backwards and cause the low fuel pump to "pull" some air or lose pressure? Anyway, I cleared the code for now. It was/is always running fine...No MIL light after clearing the code yet after I got home on Sunday from the road trip. No symptoms just the MIL light came on at the station on Saturday. Thanks.
Thanks much for the car info!
These could be old codes too?
Since you already cleared the code I would just watch to see if it comes back like you said.
It's not uncommon to get things like this from temporary voltage fluctuations and such.
