Does any one have this kit installed on an XJR? I am interested if there is any noticeable difference in noise or performance. Not really concerned with performance aspect as much as id like to here the supercharger a bit more. Jaguar XJ V6 Supercharged Performance Intake Tube Kit - Mina Gallery Inc
I recently fitted the Mina Gallery aluminium intake tube on my x100 Xkr. Gives a bit more intake noise, I really like it. Not too much but for sure a difference.
Fairly straight forward installation and really livens up the engine compartment. I'm certain that the performance gain is in the higher rpm range. A big thumbs up!
If anyone is interested in a TCP cold air intake for our cars feel free to p.m. me I'm looking to upgrade to the Mina Gallery intake just for a different look in my engine bay. Great condition.
Can you tell me if the one breather tube connection on the Mina intake tube is for the drivers side and the passenger side breather tube connects directly to the intake manifold? I have a 2004 xkr. Thank you.

Reason: Speling
Thank you for responding. I wad actually inquiring about the part throttle breather hoses and how or where they connected to the Mina Gallery Intake Tube. I did find the answer from another Jaguar Forum member. Thank you again.
Mine is coming this week too, I also ordered the exhaust. I have K&N filters, super excited! I keep seeing in pics that the plastic shroud is off the supercharger. Guys are saying that allows more noise to come through from the supercharger, any drawbacks to this?

No drawbacks at all, unless you count a little less muffling of the inherently rattly AJ133 and AJ126 engines as a drawback (and even then you can barely hear the rattle inside the car with the doors shut and the windows up).
One main benefit - the top of the supercharger runs considerably cooler with the engine cover removed, tested and proven by a couple of members on the F-Type forum.
Cooler intake air = a little more power and less chance of "heat soak" where the ECU pulls the timing and over-fuels (to cool the cats), resulting in a massive loss of power.
I have run my F-Type with the cover off for two years and not a single problem.
The install went well. I primarily purchased the Mina product to dress up the engine bay. I'm certain the K&N Filters and the intake does have performance value Nice visual improvement over the black plastic

I wouldn't be overly certain if I were you.
I put the TCP intake (very similar to the Mina) and K&N filters on my old XFR and I really could not detect any performance improvement at all.
The stock intake and air filters flow very well, at least enough to extract the maximum possible from the existing tune and SC boost.
Slightly off-topic, but since I was reminded by the pictures of the hood(bonnet)...if you remove the hood insulation and the rubber weatherstrip at the rear end of the hood (nearest the windscreen), you'll vent a lot of heat. It behaves as if the hood has been shimmed up. I can see the rippled air pouring out while moving slowly or stopped. Not sure how much of a difference it ultimately makes but less heat under the hood can't be bad.
^ Above is true, there's no free lunch though - you'll trade off NVH and more heat on the hood/paintwork for the better dissipation. Probably doesn't matter much in this conversation though, just depends on what a person is comfortable with
