Default Mr jag 2013

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and had a couple questions see if anyone could help me out.so I am changing the crossover coolant line on my jag due to a leak so I had to remove the supercharger just to change that $30 dollar plastic pipe, so since it's off I might as well change the isolator on the snout to the supercharger. My question is has anyone taken apart the snout from the supercharger and does it have oil inside the supercharger or is supposed to have some?

As you have already posted an Intro, I've moved your question from New Member Area - Intro a MUST to X351 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Welcome to the forum.

yes many have taken the snout apart from the supercharger. Take off all the bolts that connect the snout to the supercharger. You may have to use something to pry it apart since the old gasket will still keep them stuck together. The supercharger does have oil that needs to be replaced.

The snout is glued on and many have had trouble separating the two. It takes a special sealant/glue for re installation. There is no gasket.
Here is a good thread to look at;

SC Oil Change

But while your in there has the water pump and front plastic cooling tubes been replaced? They are known trouble spot/wear item.
Also what engine are you working on?
