Hey you guys my 2017 Jaguar XJ has been running fine 28,000 miles. Last week I pulled up to store went into the store came out went to start the car it would not start massage on dash said transmission not in park , transmission fault, parking brake is in maintenance mode, aspc not available, 2 wheel drive only traction reduced, put the ob reader on it and it pulled U0101 code lost Communication with TGM . Can someone give some insight I would appreciate it.

 

Your might have just an weak battery.

 

Maybe you could try releasing the transmission using the emergency strap. See instructions in the owner's manual. Perhaps this will allow the starting sequence to continue with the transmission in Neutral (at least functionally, if not electrically).

 

Focus on the battery as Vasara posted above ...first.
How old is it?
What are the voltage readings? Engine off and running?
