Default Need help on a couple of questions...

Anyone know how to:

1) turn off nav voice while it's giving a nav command? On my old car I could just press a button and it would stop that individual command. Sometimes I'm listening to something important on the radio, and I don't want it interrupted. I'm not looking to disable the nav voice completely. I just want to be able to stop the voice for a single command at a time.

2) turn the expected arrival time on the nav to read in 12 hour interval vs. Military time? Odd that the system allows you to adjust the system time to 2 or 24 hour clock, but I don't see that function for the expected arrival time.

Those are interesting functionality issues. In my car (not a Jag) the voice plays only on the left corner speaker over on the dashboard while the radio stays on on all other speakers, just a little lower in volume. The 12/24 hour format could be just one of those design annoyances. In my car I can't switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius for example. It's always F. You'll have to maybe get used to 22:00 being 10pm, 23:00 11pm, etc... LOL

Left corner speaker only? That sounds like in my Lexus.
I got the same beef with the voice announcements. There is a mute button on the screen so I thought. Shows a voice symbol. May thats it. Haven't tried. Think its in the lowever left corner when map is displayed. But I am not sure.
The Navi is fed from another module that is why you can't change the time format. They simply didn't put that in the code for the US market. Why not? Beats me. The car is great....the Navigation and touchscreen system is better in almost any other car in this class.
Still love the car.

That button in the bottom left corner that looks like it might be a mute button actually simply repeats the most recent command.

Thanks. Good to know. One less thing to wonder about on the Navigation system jungle.

From the nav screen, choose Nav. menu, the push the Route VG button. It will toggle between a speaker icon and an speaker with a line through it. The one with the line through it turns Route "voice guidance" off.

That turns off voice command completely, it doesn't mute out an individual command. Individual commnd mute is what I'm trying to do.
