Default New to me XJR

I finally purchased a XJR (2014). It has 61000 miles and unfortunately the service record isn’t what I’d prefer to have but it is what it is

ive read extensively about the pitfalls of the model and plan on doing a water pump, hose replacement/upgrades, new belt and transmission service

im capable of turning my own wrenches so aside from the transmission I will be doing the work myself. Is there a brand of water pump and tubing that I should chose?

is there anything else that should be looked at?

thanks

Hey me too! 2014 XJR SWB in IRR.

Get the latest Jaguar version water pump. The part number ends in 3909.
Yes unhook the symposer.
I would add doing the E-Diff fluid and make sure to use the right fluid!
Check for the SC snout clonk noise on shutdown.
If doing cooling work I would get the aftermarket Aluminum versions along with the other Aluminum parts.
This is a nice kit for a great price!

Don't know how serious you are but consider getting a working SDD setup to scan the car.
Do some searches as SDD is a very big project by itself!
