Hello everybody, I just got my new to me Jaguar. It's a 2012 model long wheelbase XJ Supercharged.

I think I'm in love. I still haven't gotten used to the brakes or the gearing yet. I'm sure I will. Wow what a car!

Some pics of this desert beauty from Riverside California.

Welcome to the Forum! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. Be sure to "keep your nose out" for the distinctive aroma of anti-freeze, as the water pump is known to fail prematurely. And always lock your XJ, even in your garage, to shut down the computers and preserve your battery.

Very nice dude. I know what you mean with the brakes, Ive had mine for almost a month and I am still way too jerky with them. I havent had anything that stopped this good in a long time.

Im jealous of the illumination package! Enjoy!

Thanks guys!

Funny you should mention antifreeze, that's what led me to buy this car. I was at the dealership looking at a Dodge Challenger, I was going to go cheap again, after the test drive I looked the engine over and smelled antifreeze. That sent me back home. I studied up on other Challengers and had decided which one I wanted, but couldn't find the exact one anywhere. I decided what I wanted was a sedan with good power. Then I remembered my old friend Reggie had bought a 1998 XJ L. Of course he had to re-engine it. Couldn't argue it was a beauty, and I was a little jealous. Still, I drove home in my Corvette so I could handle it.

I started looking at the new Jaguars and found this beauty. I saw on the Carfax's about the water pump and this one was replaced before I bought it. I never saw them being replaced twice in the 1,000 cars I looked at. So, I hope I'm good for a while anyway. I plan on getting a battery buddy for when it's in the garage. That's if it doesn't become a daily driver. Anyway Happy Motoring.

A Dodge or a Jag...That should have been an easy choice lol.
Love the silver!
Look at the CTEK line of chargers. It's the brand Jaguar uses and a lot of other luxury car makers.

Glad to see you have your Jaguar automobile. I have a red 2012 XJL and love it. Next month I will have owned it for 3 years. There were only 7300 miles on it when I bought it but now I have approx. 24,000. Obviously it's not a daily driver.
