im really hoping they dont follow that tail light design. it seems so basic when it should be more elegant.

 

I don't know that all-electric XJ could compete with Tesla. Why would anyone buy XJ over Tesla S, when Tesla has larger battery capacity, an auto-pilot, and a network of charging stations?

I think the only chance XJ has is to follow Volt model and have on-board generators for range extension - something Tesla is ideologically opposed to.

 

Two points : Around here, so many people have Teslas that people will be looking for something different.

Secondly, the Jaguar has a proper interior with interesting design and quality materials, all things that the Teslas lack.
