Is the new xj50 going to be sold in the USA
I dont see why it wouldnt be. Nothing really stood out as something that would be Euro-only. I dont know how common they will be, but nothing in any of the articles i read led me to believe this would exclude the US.
According to CarBuzz, the XJ50 will be sold in the US market only in LWB. See: https://carbuzz.com/news/jaguar-xj50...y-luxury-sedan
Just found a proper advertisement for the Xj50, a lovely car and should be very special to own one
When I look at the photos of this car, I see a X351. Am I the only one? They say it's a new model, but it looks like a refreshed model. Still, I am a fan of the current model, so I also like the "new" one, but it is not a departure from what we have now.

Just to clarify - it will be revealed later this year but my guess is that by the time it's in production it's at least 2020 model year, and could even be 2021 model year. Remembering that in the US the model year starts to be sold around May the prior year
The XJ50 celebrates the 50th anniversary of the launch of the original XJ6 Series I in 1968. It serves both to the enhance the brand image with this historical connection and to maintain sales interest in an ageing model until the replacement is ready. It also reminds me that I bought my first XJ6 in 1972 which now seems a very long time ago!
There have been many such 'special editions' of Jaguar models in the past. Notably with the XK8 and XK. All have been cosmetic additions without any performance options which aren't already available. My XK 'Signature' is an example.
These 'special editions' usually come with a price. In the case of the XJ50, this is up to 13,000 UKP on top of the standard X351 but for this buyers will be getting a fine car with all the options and an enhanced trim. Although originally costing more than the standard range, past performance shows they rarely attract higher values on the used car market.
