As per the thread title, seems some of our North American members are unaware of engine options that are sold in other markets, so here's a brief summary.

X-Type
2.1L V6 Gasoline
2.0L I4 Turbo Diesel
2.2L I4 Turbo Diesel
(these are front wheel drive only)

S-Type
2.7L V6 Twin-turbo Diesel

XF
3.0L V6 N/A Gasoline
2.7L V6 Twin-turbo Diesel
3.0L V6 Twin-turbo Diesel
2.2L I4 Turbo Diesel

X350 XJ
2.7L V6 Twin-turbo Diesel
3.0L V6 N/A Gasoline
3.5L V8 N/A Gasoline

X150 XK
3.5L V8 N/A Gasoline (very few built, sold in UK, France, Germany)

2.2L I4 Turbo Diesel

There are some other engines "in the family" fitted to Land Rovers and Range Rovers that also did not make it accross the Atlantic, which might have been nice in the Jags

3.6L V8 Twin-Turbo Diesel, based on the 2.7L V6, built in same UK plant
4.4L V8 Twin-Turbo Diesel, which is actually a Ford engine built in the US

 

WOW i'll bet that 4.4L twin turbo V8 Diesel is a blast to drive. best thing ever happened to JLR is Ford!
