I originally bid on it because I thought it had 76k miles. I need an engine for my F-Type. So, I bid $2k on it which didn’t even meet the reserve. BIN was 3800 so I pulled the carfax because even if I got it around $6k shipped with all fees I figured I could sell some parts and make back half.
Carfax showed the odometer was rolled back. True miles are probably around 120k. No one else bid and Copart decided to let me win the bid at $2k anyway. With shipping and fees I’ll be around $4400. If I don’t buy it I’ll be out about $1400 in fees and stuff. So, looks like I’ll be selling some parts. Hopefully the engine is good and I can sell it for $4k.
