Default One Nice Car

I got so tired of hearing all the negatives I thought I'd post a few positive comments.

Before I get trashed in my comments...I too have the popping and have not been overjoyed with trips to the dealer. Alas, I've had expensive Euro cars in the past and can state with no uncertainty these issues are not unique to Jag. However, per the Kinkos commercial...."hello, but I digress"

Love my car. I'm utterly amazed at the stares I get driving this car. Just simply amazing. Per above, I've driven a lot of nice cars and short of my LR Defender, none provoke straying eyes quite like this one!

I love the stereo, love...love...love the B&W system.

I'm amazed at the power of a supercharged engine. I have to say it's my first, however, the power band is consistent all the way through the curve and it pulls like a dream.

At 6'4" and a cheeseburger north of 250, this car fits me nicely. Funny enough, I was worried about the fit of the XJ coming out of a 911. On long trips, I love stretching out with seat massage and warmers.

Taking the car on a 120mile road trip tomorrow. Got the golf clubs and shotguns for a nice weekend. Looking forward to the trip!

"Got the golf clubs and shotguns for a nice weekend."

You must play some pretty rough courses. Don't park the Jag near the clubhouse -- ball dents look like hail damage.

We get it lol. Yours is a lemon. They all aren't. Sorry you were one of the unfortunate few. Don't rain on this owners parade. I know misery loves company but very little any of us can do for you here.

I think that if you can't find satisfaction with anything material in life, walk away. Put the thing behind you and move on. Life is too short and precious. The car, even as expensive as it is is a car. I can live with its faults and marvel at its brilliance. If I couldn't I'd leave it behind ; trade it in , take it back or sell it... I just wouldn't spend a second suffering it nor trying to convince others to suffer over it either. I enjoy the driving it and everyone that has come in contact with my 2011 XJL seems to enjoy it also. I still enjoy seeing the wonderfully sculptured vehicle with its marvelous celestial
color that is mysteriously different in every ambient light. I do understand frustration but i also have found patience heals......

pwl, I trust you will be fixing your issues by then otherwise you better get rid of your ride , youre right you paid pretty much for a ride and you normally expect it runs perfectly and any dissatisfaction turns out to be misery or frustration , I would do the same if I were you .
W221 is farly the best Mercs namely after W220 junkies
Thanks for the positive thread though

I am confident that Jaguar will fix all of our problems. In the meantime, I too am really enjoying this car. Nice write-up from Angus Mackenzie, editor-in-chief of Motor Trend, in this month's issue--"The 2011 Jaguar XJ is different. This is the most significant, most forward-looking Jaguar sedan in 40 years. The new Jaguar XJ is possibly the class of the luxury car class. A beautifully executed take on the luxury-car manifesto its storied 1968 ancestor created. Sir William would have approved."

I agree that it gets depressing reading thread after thread of griping..... I too am enjoying driving this awesome vehicle... everything works but I am still scheduled for update installation this week..... I suppose I have decided , after hearing from the dealer and jag, that I'll give Jag a chance to support their product....
