I'm upgrading my 2010 XF to a newer XJL. I'm looking a used 2015 XJL Portfolio that the rear, driver's side window, and shade do not roll down. How big of an issue is it to fix this? Is this a DYI kind of thing or is this best left to the dealership?

I can’t answer your original question, but I would recommend looking at a 2016 CPO instead.

IIRC the facelift happend in 2016, the warranty was improved, the sticky buttons were changed with another part number, and the coolant routing was updated (not 100% on the date off this last one but think it was 2016).

So if I were shopping for an XJ today it would be for a 2016 or newer. Just my two cents.

 

Thanks SO Much. I really want the 2016 Supercharged V8 that I have my eye on. My wife is trying to talk me into buying the cheaper 2015. I think I'll stick to my guns on this one.
