Removing intake manifold 5.0L 2012 NA
Hi,
as mentioned in the pump survey thread:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-132537/page9/
I replaced my original pump to no no avail and still have an important coolant leak, which (removing the pump again and filling coolant while plugging the two engine side coolant holes)) I could clearly diagnose as coming from from the rear of the V8 valley.
Next usual suspect are I suppose the tubes and connectors hidden in there, esp. the ones going to the heating system,
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-217580/page2/
and I see no way to confirm and repair but to remove the intake manifold:
Not sure I want to do this myself rather than give it to a pro: how much time is needed for this and how difficult is it?
Thanks for your help,
Thierry

theirrry, I did the same thing on my car when I removed the water pump. Removing the intake is not that bad. I seem to remember it being pretty straight forward. Granted, I do seem to remember that there was a tube on the back side that you need to be careful of (driver's side). Remove the bolts and just don't give it a big jerk. It will pop off with little effort.
