Default Restricted performance

Hi I have a misfire logged for cylinder 3&5 on this jag 5.0l v8 2010 . I have replaced spark plugs ,ignition coils and swapped over the injectors, reconfigured the PCM , carried out a smoke test to discover no engine air leaks but still I have this restricted performance light come on with logged DTC's for these two cylindens. Any ideas ? Or common issues like this you have seen in the past?

You did not give us the mileage but I will bet it has some miles?

Are you aware of carbon build up in the intake tract due to the DI system?
Have you inspected the back side of the intake valves?

Checking the wiring & connectors right through to the PCM is something to consider.

I've had this problem and it was the injectors. You can't swap them.

It happened to me twice. The first time I had one injector replaced and then the second time I had a full bank replaced.

Very costly

Not sure why they can't be swapped like any other fuel injector?

You can get them on EBay used (Around $100 each) or brand new from Jaguar for around $725 EACH!

Here is what they look like. Pretty different looking but I am new to direct injection too. Part numbers CF2D45732, C2D24386, C2P16489 and the Ford number 8W93-9F593-D.

As with ALL Jaguar parts they are VIN specific so don't order anything without your last 6 digits of the VIN.

As with most parts these also fit Land Rover Engines of the same size.
These seem to be used on the 5.0L V-8 as well as the smaller engines.

Many hi-tech injectors carry a code that must be set into the PCM - don't know if this is the case with the 5.0

The usual reason is that the code describes the exact flow characteristics of that particular injector.

These injectors seem to be causing problems on the 5.0L and they shouldn't really go faulty.

On both occasions I've had the fault being two cylinders have been misfiring, yet only one injector went. They seem to stick eventually.

The is rather worrying as I don't just know when the next one might go.
