Default Rough idle

I have searched and found really nothing like my symptoms. Occasionally when warm the car will go into a rough idle like it has camshaft upgrades. It only happens when in P but will fix itself within a couple seconds, then will start doing it again...then correct itself. Coming from my GEN 3 gm small blocks seems to be a maf issue but no codes where thrown in the XJ. Anyone here have the same issue?Picture just to show that the paint still shines

Mine had a misfire, rough idle from a bad timing tensioner. It started out very sporadic and got worse. Only happened at idle.

Appointment made for Wed morning. Heard that was an issue with the SC motors but didn't know it affected the 5.0 NA. Did you car throw any codes?

Took it in dealership claimed that it was because of clogged air filters and needed a fuel injector cleaning. I replaced the filters myself....didn't looked clogged to me. I'll see if that helps.

And did they clean the fuel injectors? I feel like I've read somewhere recently that can be an issue because of the direct injection. Mine had a bit of a rough idle sometimes, changed oil to Amsoil and it went away.

No they did not. I just ran a treatment of Royal Purple Max fuel cleaner. Car seems to run fine now.
