SDARS receiver module, 2009 XJ Portfolio

The Sat radio on my 2009 XJ Portfolio has failed. Dealer says I need a new SDARS module.(At HUGE cost!) Not sure where it is located on vehicle, or if I can replace it myself. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
