Default SDD on a 2019?

For all other Jags, they seemed to have switched to Pathfinder around 2017, but I recently read that Jaguar kept the X351 on SDD throughout its life, probably because they didn't think it was worth investing in the platform at the end of its life.

Has anyone actually used SDD on a 2019 XJ to confirm? Is Pathfinder needed for any specific operations on a 2019?

I can confirm the use of SDD on a 2018 XJ and I'm like 99.99% positive it's used on the 2019.
I doubt if there are many cases where people have a 2019 and have had the chance to use SDD on it.

I will be trying it very soon. I have a genuine Bosch 6533 VCI, a freshened Windows 10 Pro laptop, and SSD v168 installed on it.

Yes that's what I have seen too. The XJ was the last car to use SDD.
Interested to see what you find on your 2019 XJ.

XJ never got Flexray so they never went to Pathfinder/Topix support. We were doing PDIs on the last ones via SDD, which was very odd as techs when it hadn't been used in years on any other product. Ftype was the other holdout, that kept SDD support way later than other JLR products.

What SDD functions would be both safe to test and confirm full functionality?

I have a late model (Dec '18) that's running SDD, I can't imagine that JLR switching for the last few models.

Looks like it works. It says it completed the service interval reset, but I couldn't find in the data logger or anywhere else where to see the counters related to the service interval. Does anyone know where they are?

I'm not an SDD user, but I can see "distance until service" on my Jaguar Remote app.

I stopped paying for the remote app because I didn't find it that useful, so that info is not displaying for me.

They should be in datalogger, probably in the instrument cluster if not the PCM.
