TCM loosing connection
Hello im new here but need some help please
I'm having an issue loosing communication from the TCM. It happened 3 weeks ago when it was raining terribly and there was standing water. It went into transmission fault mode and limp mode. I reset the computers (unhooked negative battery cable and reinstalled my tune) and it has been running well until today. It's hot no rain but it went into transmission fault and lost communication with TCM. I just rest again and it all works fine again. Just not understanding why this is happening
Thank you all for help I appriciate it

You stated standing water. Was the car parked partially submerged in water or did you drove the car in a flooded street?

Yes can you fill us in on those details?
Maybe water is in the connections?
The U codes are network codes and it's unusual that you only have the one code? If wire problems it's common to see many U codes. Any other codes? You should at least have P1000 or P1111? Those are always present?
Also I have never seen an XJ with this code. Any chance you have an old battery?
