Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and [potentially] new to the Jaguar brand. I've been driving VWs excellent TDI Jetta for the last 500,000Kms so enough said there. My question is in regards to the 2009 XJ Vanden Plas. I am currently looking at one of these cars and have a general question, two actually. First, are these "Good" cars whatever that means and second is how bad is bad if the XJ I happen to buy is a complete piece of junk? Now I recognize there is a whole forum here dedicated to the X351, which I assure you in time I will read, but I just figured I would toss this out. Lastly, I recognize that the peer group for the big cat is 750 BMWs and Mercs...not my Jetta so my expectations are, atleast somewhat, properly set. Anyways look forward to reading some lively replies and potentially provoking some spirited debate?

Good luck in your search. I think you will find all of your answers in the X350/351 section. Biggest knock on the model is the air suspension - but there is a spring kit for that.
