Hello I bought a 2012 with 100k miles xj that was always serviced at the dealership, how likely is it that they changed the timing belt?

Very unlikely unless it's a 3.0 litre diesel which has a Timing Belt ......

...... the petrol engines use Timing Chains.



Unless you are referring to Drive Belts ......

If you want to know what repairs are in your future, pay your local Jaguar dealer to do a Pre Purchase Inspection using the checklist for qualifying used Jaguars to be sold as Jaguar Select Certified Pre-Owned. Cost should be under $300.
