Default Timing Belt?

Hi there sorry if this post has been posted before, if it has please point me in the right direction thanks.

What it is I have a 2004 2lt diesel SE X type jag and I was wondering what type of timing belt the car has, is it a chain or belt? Have been given a different answer to my question but am sure somebody must know the right answer!

Once again apologise if this question has been asked before, many thanks for any answer.

Happy motoring.............

Drew, your motor has a timing chain, not a timing belt. So, as long as you are not revving the engine to high RPM, you should not have any problems with the chain.
