Question Traction control light will not go out

My 2015 XJL has the ABS and traction control lights that will NOT go out. Are these lights controlled in series? IE- If the ABS hub needs replacing in the rear of the car, will the traction control light (And the Winter mode & performance mode) also not go out?

jaguarguy100, if you havea bad wheel speed sensor, it will light up a bunch of different stuff. This is where connecting a scanner and reading the codes associated with the ABS will give you an idea of what is wrong and why you have both of those lights. Just having those lights can be an indication of a lot of different things being wrong.

Both ABS and traction control systems use input from wheel sensors. So if you lose wheel sensor input ALL systems using the data will have an error. Logic, is in it?

Thermo, thanks for all your answers. Hey, now I have an O2 sensor fault in Bank 2, Sensor 3. Is that the one under the driver seat lowest down stream?
