haendless, looking up what triggers that code, I don't think replacing anything in the evap system is going to fix your problem. The code from what I can see is looking at electrical side of the purge valve and seeing if the circuit is intact. It is seeing either: 1) open wire in the loop, 2), the wiring is grounded to the body of the car, or 3) one of the wires has shorted to a 12V wire. This is where a simple multimeter should tell you if you have options 2 and 3 going on with the car by simply unplugging the evap solenoid and then measuring each of the pins. The open wire gets a little bit more troublesome unless you have a special tool (circuit tracer). With the circuit tracer, you input a signal on each of the wires and using the wand, you follow the wiring. The wand will beep at you as long as it still sees the signal. Where there is a break in the wiring, the signal stops, the beeping goes away.

I would say to also check the pins in the plug going to the evap valve. It may be possible that the pins have been bent a little bit and you are not getting a good electrical connection. If you don't mind a bit of a drive, I am south of you by an hour or so in California, MD. I am sure we can look at things and get it sorted out.
