Does anyone know if the Luxury Carpet Mat sold by Jaguar (part number C2D7450) will fit my 2012 XJL? It is listed on the Jaguar site as only for 2016-2019 XJ's, but other sites (Rimmer Bros) seem to think it fits all XJ's from 2010. Thank you.

 

Yes, it will work perfectly and is really plush. I was looking for a picture of it installed in my 2012 XJL but haven't found it.

 

Thank you. Is the backing cut so that it "straddles" the cleats on the trunk carpet so that it lays flat?

 

The backing is normal and nothing special added to it for fitment. It's so thick that you will not know the bars are there.
I found this pic but it's not that detailed and excuse the mess.

And the bars are only on the earlier XJ's. My 2014 does not have them and is just a regular piece of carpet.

Just to close out the thread: the trunk carpet mat fits perfectly and looks very nice, in my opinion. It does cover the “cleats” on the trunk floor very well, and is thick enough that you can’t tell they’re under it, as nvmyjag mentioned. Thanks for the input.

For the side nets, there are no attachments pre-installed. They're part of the kit.
