VAP Tune in All Wheel Drive
Considering put a tune on my 2015 XJL all wheel drive. My real concern with doing this is whether the all wheel drive components and the transmission are up to the extra horsepower and torque. Just planning on the tune and no pulleys. Understand it will bump up to 416HP and 352 torque. Has anybody done this with an AWD XJ?
Don't think you will have any transmission problems?
I have a tune with crank pulley on my XJR pushing 530 HP/ 540 TQ at the wheels on the dyno. That's over 200 ft-lb more than what you are planning.
No transmission problems yet and it's been over 2 years.

I have both the VAP tune + pulley on an AWD XJL and have had zero issues after 15,000km on the set up. no issues whatsoever and it drives much better.
Great. Thank you for answering. My concern was not for the engine or transmission but for the drive components of the front part of the AWD system.
