Does anyone know how to enable the video-in-motion(watch a DVD while moving) via the SDD car config files? The default setting is non - Hong Kong, Hong Kong disables it at all times and Undefined appears to have no effect.

Happy new year brother. I tried finding a county setting that allowed video in motion a few years back, but was unsuccessful as well. When I would change the country in SDD, my rear cameras wouldn’t work once I put the car in reverse. As such, reverted back to the default setting.

To get the video in motion capability, I purchased a device on eBay that bypassed the block. It basically attaches to the backside of the NAV display, and it is purely plug-n-play. No modifications to the vehicle’s hardware. Below is a link to the thread. It works as advertised; no issues, simple install.

Thanks ABrice! Sounds link you already tried all the other options without luck. I'll consider the module looks like an easy install. Did you play around with any of the other video options like DTV?

I did not try DTV. I honestly did not like modifying ccf files. The tones and sounds that your car makes when programming scares the hell out me. I've probably done It 100 times, and I'm always a little on edge. I didn't exhaust all SDD means for a solution. Once I found the bypass, I went with it. It's less risky. If you find the correct bit, I'm curious to know which one it is. I've always heard that it can be done, but I've never came across anyone that has successfully done it though.

Hello, did you find right parameter in CCF?
I think that this was not right bite to edit (country Hong-Kong etc. did not take effect on VIM activation)
Maybe its DVD-region or multimedia region or smth
