Virtual CD Changer & Single CD Player
On 09/17/2019, I was listening to one of the CDs in the virtual CD changer, when it suddenly switched to another CD in the changer. I switched back to the CD to which I was listening and it started playing different tracks. When I tried to go back to the track to which I was listening, it switched to another CD. It then just stopped playing and responding. I changed to the radio, switched back to the player and it played as normal. About an hour later, it stopped playing. I switched to the single CD player and it wouldn't play at all. I switched back to the radio and back to the CD player and it played as normal. Today, 09/18, that entire scenario repeated itself but this time with increased frequency. Thoughts? I'm at 32,320 miles.
Well, the day after the last occurrence, everything settled back down to normal. Don't have a clue what happened or what I did differently. Units play as they're supposed. So, cancelled my appointment with the dealership. If it occurs again will take it right in.
A low battery will cause all sorts of electrical glitches. If you don't drive at least 20 miles every day and don't use a battery maintainer, your battery probably isn't fully charged.
Because I'm retired and don't drive my Jags every day, I keep them on a CTEK battery maintainer whenever they're parked in my garage. That way I know that the batteries are always fully charged. I haven't had any electrical problems.
