Used to be Range Rover Evoque, that turned into an XE and an XF, now it's almost all F-Pace's. The dealership I bring mine into have said that they give me the F-Pace because the XJ is a larger car and they don't want to cram me in an XE.

Wow, and my dealership just said they might not even have a loaner for me, they can give me a rental.
Putting a 120k car for service and driving around in a Dodge Charger will be nice 🙂.
I’m located in Toronto.

I looked for a little while for a shop that would give any loaners at all. I think the first time I brought the car in I may have got some beat up Honda or Audi or something, but after that it's been amazing car after another. I keep pressing them to give me an F-Type loaner but they don't do that.

What's even more outrageous is I didn't buy the car from them, nor is it even in a Jaguar warranty. 3rd party and they still feel okay about giving me an F-Pace with 37 miles on the clock and the window sticker for $64,000 still attached for a week.

mine is under jaguar warranty, this is an official dealership.
You should keep this shop for good.
They seem nice hopefully they don’t charge you outrageous amounts $

They're not cheap but my warranty is a $50 deductible on any amount of work. I think one repair was like $7000 or so for what could practically be described as a new suspension and the total cost to me was still $50. They're nice and it's the warranty money not mine so I don't really mind.

Jaguar of Morris County if anyone needs a suggestion near the NYC/NJ area.

For a service loaner I've had a XE, XF, F-Pace, XJ and an F-Type. I wanted to like the F-Type but I'm too tall! I've done business with this dealer for 10 years, so they put me in the nicest one available.

For the first time at this dealership for a yearly service it was an F-Pace, which was almost new but so high, I had a job getting into it, me being short in the leg ! So when I booked it in for a heater matrix job week after next, I asked them for something smaller !

Sounds like if TNJohn would give you a few inches you'd both be happier.

My dealer in Portland, OR typically sends me down the block to Enterprise where they give me an Impala or something similar .

RR Evoque right now. I've been in it since early November. At the dealership's request I am swapping it tomorrow due to time.

It is the semi-base version with 18" wheels and the original Ford turbo setup. Turbo lag or surge are available but not controllable. Using the paddle shifters in advance of a merge to avoid the former is mandatory. Let's hope that the 2018 Ingenium twin scroll turbo has a more linear power delivery. Gets good gas mileage and rides well now I reduced the tyre pressures from 45 PSI all round. Biggest criticism is that the fine wires for the heated front screen suffer from a view blocking rainbow strobe effect when facing low angle sun.

For one day I had a XE diesel with a R-Sport body kit. Colour me confused, but I guess somebody had to do it. Rode rough on the big tyres, but maybe they were over pressure as is the habit here for some reason. Start-stop system was lumpy with the diesel and OMG talk about turbo lag. It was darned near undriveable in the normal mode. Engage sport mode for a more linear driving experience.

Ten years ago I got a 1984 Honda with 247,000 miles on it. I had to close the drivers door 5 times before it would latch. The window wouldn't go up and the brakes squealed horribly. The gas gauge wouldn't work but they assured me it had gas.The engine barely ran and I slowed to 25 miles an hour going up hill but it got me home and back again. They told me it was the last one they had. All the other loaners were out.

It was like being a teenager again. Tooling down the road in a '57 Studebaker that ran like it had no rings on the pistons. Body panels falling off when I hit a bump. A 2x4 nailed to the drivers door for a brake. Just grab the top of the 2x4 and pull they told me. Good times!
