Christ, I am with you. I just checked. My car (2012 base) does not have a feature that allows me to see the tire pressures. I checked with the engine on and not, both conditions with the car in PARK. It would be nice to have that feature, especially if the car has the ability and it is simply turned off. May have to give my local dealership a call and see what they say. Even if it costs me an hour of shop time, it would be well worth getting.

Chris/christ.

Just checked my 2012 XJ and 2017 F-Pace manuals, which confirmed my memory.

The XJ will tell me which tire is low and tell me that all 5 need to be checked. It will not show me the actual pressure with the vehicle in any state (P/N/D On/Off). The manual tells me that the TPMS will trip if one tire is 20% below any other.

The F-Pace will show me actual tire pressures in P and N (with the recommended settings). The system trips the caption at the same 20% and shows which tire is low.

Neither system will allow access 'on the fly', I guess they think it would be distracting? I've never actually thought "I wonder what the tire pressures are?" mid commute anymore than I've questioned what the actual brake fluid temp is. It's nice to have that sort of data when attempting to investigate faults in the garage/on the driveway, maybe it's just me but, I don't need it when driving.

Each to their own,

wombat

my 2015 will NOT give me individual tire pressure readouts, not in P, R, N, or D.......it will ONLY tell me which tire is low, if its low, but not by how much.

the tech is extremely outdated, but you dont buy a Jag for the tech haha.

I work at a German car dealership in the service department. I watch people pay through the nose everyday for tech. I have a perfectly good tire gauge.

I do too, but sometimes when you're driving down the road, and all of a sudden the car feels a little "twitchy", it's to be able to quickly scan the tire pressures, and determine if a tire is going down, or it's just some "ripply" pavement.
