Is this plastic part from the water outlet hose to thermostat housing available separately? I’m unsure if the issue is the female part (@WP) or if it’s the male part from the outlet hose.
It won’t stay connected to the water pump and is leaking like a sieve. Was not leaking when I removed the WP, only when I reconnected it. Water pump connection to outlet hose to thermostat housing.

do you have a higher quality picture? I can’t tell how far you pushed that elbow in. If it’s not far enough in, it will leak.
if that black elbow is still intact, there is an o-ring inside that could be damaged. I had to replace my o-ring to stop my leak.

Thanks. The part does not grab onto the WP. Not sure if the “teeth” are engaging or if the plastic part is missing something on the end or if it is damaged. Are the WP female part and the plastic male fitting replaceable? Gee, I sure hope so. I’d really regret replacing a WP for such a weak link part as well as buying a $50 hose assembly because of a plastic bit.
Can’t tell if O ring is present or not. It definitely does not create any resistance while inserting the tube.
If what I see is it, it looks deteriorated.
Can’t tell if O-ring is present unless I pick at it.
I really can’t tell. All the o-rings that I’ve seen have been green. If anyone else can confirm this it would be helpful. So you can clean it out any try and replace it. Taking that black plastic ring out will help a lot.

I wasn’t sure I could remove the ring without damaging it. Any secret to removing it?

Sorry I should have included that. The plastic ring has 4 “legs” (best I can come up with LOL). I basically pulled it out and push in those feet as I pulled it out. You can use a small pick or a tiny flathead. In the picture I’m including I broke one of those legs. But I was able to get a replacement from an old water pump. I just by then how to pull it out. But you should be able to use this picture to see what I mean. Just keep pushing in every corner as you pull it out.
Thank you so much. Hopefully, if needed, both pieces will be available somewhere. I have a local rebuild shop 10-15 miles from me, I’ll call them to see if they have spares.
Again, Thanks!

When I was looking, the o-ring is easy to get at an auto parts store. The plastic ring on the other hand......... new water pump or find one one from a used one.
Took care of the o-ring and retaining clip with new. The old clip had one damaged “tooth”. These parts have been R/R’d 5x by the dealer before I removed it for this repair. I guess 6x was the charm. Still leaks... A detailed look at the male end of the hose confirms a worn and pitted tip. The bad male pipe combined with a broken clip guaranteed this would not seal around the o-ring.
Tomorrow, I’ll check with the dealer for availability but knowing Jag/LR, it will only be sold as an outlet hose assembly. That said;
If any of you have an old hose that you replaced but has a tip that looks better than mine, I’m interest in buying it from you.

I’ll take a picture of mine tomorrow to compare yours looks to be in the same shape as mine I think.
Yours might be a little beat up and ugly but if my eye is accurate, yours is about 3mm longer. Probably why mine is leaking. See... size does matter...😎

I suspect the tip must have broken off inside the WP and hopefully expelled when it was removed and all coolant purged . I seem to recall sweeping up bits of debris and broken plastic without significance registering. Before all this is over, I’ll fully drain the system again and look for pieces. Otherwise, all I can do is be aware of temps. Should a blockage does occur, it will likely be at the thermostat.
BTW-It does not appear the part is available without buying the entire hose assembly.
I managed to patch a broken one recently as a "get home" measure, but still found small drops of coolant on the belt tensioner. Just replaced the pipe, which comes as part of a single assembly with thermostat hose and the drops are gone
