X351 Electrical Help
Hey guys I have a 2014 Jaguar XJL I bought it from my uncle it was rear ended, I had the aluminum pulled by a body shop I知 having some error messages and I知 not sure where to look first. With a OBD reader I have 3 code P0089, U0010 & B1206. On the digital dash says blind spot spot system unavailable , suspension fault (changed the compressor unit and system is leveled ), adaptive dynamics fault . Here is what was replaced the deck lid assembly off a XJ fully complete , XJL rear bumper complete with rear camera back up sensors deck lid button keyless entree antenna. If anyone can guide me where to look next it would be greatly appreciated. Also is there any type of user end scanner we can get for jags ? Like a vagcom but for jaguar ? Thanks I知 advanced

Fx3kid, I would not worry about the B1206 code. That is essentially saying that the restraint system has been deployed because of an accident. So, if you have put the restraint system back to where it should be, delete the error and go from there. If the error returns, then one of the restraint parts is not being recognized by the computer system and will require a higher end computer to reset things.
As for P0089, that is saying that the fuel rail pressure is too low. If we assume that this is related to U0010 (loss of the medium CAN bus), I would be saying to take a look around the gas tank and see if you have a loose plug that is causing the fuel system to not report the fuel rail pressure back to the ECM via the CAN bus. Keep in mind that our cars have 2 fuel pumps (a low pressure and a high pressure). So, it could be possible that the car will still run enough though one of hte fuel pumps is not playing nice.
As for a good code reader, you have to ask yourself how much do you want to spend and what options are you after. The ultimate reader is what is referred to as SDD. This is a dealership level tool that allows you unlimited access to the car. That is good and bad. Good if you know what you are doing and know where to go and what to tweak. In that same breathe, if you are just going around and rewriting to various things in the car, you can brick up the car and make a real mess of stuff. With that being said, I have recently purchased an Autel HT200. This is one of the more powerful tools I have seen without getting into the module programming area. It can be found for around $33 on e-bay. Then you use your cell phone to connect to the car after downloading their app. The one thing that I found with this device is that you need to do everything through the phone. If you try getting a user name on a desktop and then too quickly try and use the phone to do the rest, you can run into problems (I did). Once I did it all through the phone, all was good. The HT200 will give you access to a lot of stuff that you will need.

I just started using Google Drive for this. I think it is 15 or 25Gb free included with a gmail account, assuming you have one.
