X351 Rear Sway Bar End Links
Sorry everyone for the back to back posts (Muffler Upgrade) lol, but I got my rear end links today in the mail and they look straight forward.
I wanted to ask is it actually as straight forward as it seems? I am asking because the rear suspension is air, unlike the front. So can I just jack up the car, remove the end links and replace them? Also while the car is on jack stands, can I use a jack to jack up the hub assembly to tighten the end links to spec? The only reason I'm asking this is because like I said earlier the rear is air.
Thanks in advance!

The links are exactly like the ones on the S-Type and prior XJs.

Very straight forward, no need to work about the air suspension. Yes, you can just jack it up and replace the end links.

The bottom nut came off with no problems. Held on the thread with a locking plier, and came off real easy. Now the top part was a whole new story, I put a wrench in the slot to hold the nut, and a ratchet on top (I believe a size 7 socket), it wouldn’t come off at all. The middle part of the threads were really really rusty. After 1 hour of what seemed like endless wrenching, the nut loosened some and the bottom threads were just visible enough to put PB Blaster on it (didn’t really help that much after letting it soak for a while). I kinda gave up in the middle, but after taking a 2 minute break it FINALLY came off.
I got the Mevotech over built links and they’re great quality. I didn’t even have to hold it down with a socket or anything, just had to tighten the nut down till snug.
Overall the job is really easy and straightforward, IF there is no rust. If there is I would recommend PB Blaster and leave it overnight.
Overall the **** show took me 2 hours for one side. The other side I will do tomorrow.
