Angry X351 turns off while driving on highway

Suddenly a message appeared “The start/stop button is pressed” which was not! The the car turned off, all lights out, no power steering... slowed down and stopped, the gear shift moved to P and then lowered. When I pressed the start/stop button the car started as if nothing, drove a 100 km home... all looks fine. Except it is scary to have the car tell you it’s turning off at 140 km/h...

isavov, I dealt with a member here that was suffering from a similar problem. His problem turned out to be a loose CAN Bus connection on the back of the radio. I would say to have your dealership look at this and tell them to look at this point. Granted, his car was a petrol engine, but the concepts of how the system interrelate are the same between a diesel and petrol engine.

Thank you, Thermo! Will have it checked ASAP. Hope it takes me with no problems to the repair shop
