I had the gear oil cooler replaced with gearbox flush and new oil, drove it for 700 miles approximately and now suddenly I got these faults - Gearbox fault, suspension fault, park brake fault, adaptive dynamics fault while I was driving the car. Once the faults came, I drove the car to a parking and turned it off, but it doesn't start now and I'm unable to release parking brake

 

Why did the transmission cooler need replacing?

 

The coolant was mixing with the gear oil

 

That's not good when transmissions use coolant for lubrication, but any damage from that issue is probably unrelated to your current issues.

Maybe when they did all the transmission work to clean it out, they removed the Mechatronic wiring connector to change the seal and didn't seat it properly and it finally rattled loose or leaked oil on the pins after 700 miles. Always good to check the simple things first.

This is a BMW thread, but they use the same ZF transmission, and their symptoms seem similar.

Thanks. Got the TCM replaced and the car started. But now the rear suspension is low and doesn’t go up. The car says ‘vehicle too low’ but no DTCs on the scanner
