Hi Jaguar Enthusiasts,

Does the 2014 XJ Supercharged hood and front bumper swap easily with the XJR front bumper and hood (the one with the vents), or will they not fit or require major modifications to install on the other car?

I need some help asap. my 2014 Jaguar XJ 5.0 Supercharged vehicle was hit hard by a deer. While my insurance is dropping the dough to replace the front bumper, hood, a fender and one of my headlights, I got to looking online and realized that the costs of the XJR Hood (w/vents), and the XJR front bumper with black grille, and what I see as the more aggressive air ducts on the bottom, is actually about the same price, or even less than replacing the stock XJ supercharged bumper and hood. I LOVE the XJR hood with the vents. THE PROBLEM is when I call Jaguar and ask them if that hood (AKA Part #C2D33147) will fit my XJ, giving them the Vin#, they can't tell me anything. They can only see that my Vin# says I need the XJ hood (AKA Part #C2D6121). These cars are basically the same exteriors, right? I'd love to assume the hood is the same dimensions and bolts in the same way, but jut with the more aggressive look, but Jaguar can't confirm and they say that once I order, payment is due up front and non-refundable, no returns. I can't afford to take a risk that it doesn't bolt on and fit right, at the $3338 price with the additional $400 in 2 vents costs.

Same predicament with the front bumpers. Does the XJ bumper (AKA Part #C2D5386XXX) swap cleanly with the XJR bumper (AKA Part - #C2D5370XXX), because if it does I'd rather do the XJR bumper for only $200 more ($2001 vs. $2213). This all is being paid for by my insurance, or I'd never do this.

Can anybody confirm if these parts can be interchanged with the stock bolts, or with very minor modifications?

HELP? I need to order the parts this week and need to know which ones to go for.

YES, all will fit with little or no modifications. There are a few threads where this has been done.

 

Can you point me to any of those threads? I have not been able to find any after a considerable amount of effort! Thanks!
