Unhappy XJ Incontrol and the 3G Network Shutdown

So I recently called AT&T to see if I could use my XJ on their network and their Car Connected department says they can see the car online, they can see the car doors being opened and closed but I still don't have data. On my end the car just keeps searching for a connection and thus I cannot finish the Incontrol setup process. Does anyone have a working data plan with their XJ? did you upgrade to a 4G SIM?

The incontrol app works perfectly with my 2018 XJR 575. There is a revised app which became available some time before last September. Why don't you remove the old app and download and install the new app to see if that solves your issue? My phone is a Galaxy S25 Ultra (Android). Hope this helps. Good luck

2018-19 have the 4G TCU, Tacgnol has a 2017 which was the last of the 3G cars.

3G network shutdown is a phone supplier issue, not a car side issue. There is nothing aside from a reversion to 2G that I've ever seen, and I'm unsure if that specific process applies to your car. Unfortunately there are few owners who care to use the factory telematics/apps on the older cars, so there is little push to keep them supported.
