XJ-L "interior parts"
I have some parts I'd like to sell. Having said that, I'm aware that there's a "parts for sale" section, however, I'm not quite sure how to approach this situation, because it's a little different. I have two full sets (4 pieces) of plain (non-illuminated) sill plates for a long wheelbase, X351 Jag, as well as a one "trunk finisher". I have them because I installed the illuminated sill plates in the two XJs that we owned, and the illuminated trunk finisher in one of them. Sadly, one car got wrecked, and the second one we just sold, but either way, I have the two sets.
I'd like to sell them, don't want a lot of money, but certainly will need enough to cover shipping costs (within the Continental US), with maybe a few bucks over that, for my efforts, if you know what I mean. I don't think a formal listing would be the best way, but I'm not sure what to do, and I certainly don't want to trash practically new parts. Any suggestions?

Don't hold your breath waiting to sell your non-illuminated XJL sill plates. There are more than 20 for sale ads on eBay now. Is it worth your time and effort?
I'd list them as a complete set in the Forum Marketplace for $10 per sill plate plus shipping. Hopefully, a used Jaguar parts seller will buy them. And, unlike eBay, you don't have to pay the Forum anything to sell them.

Whether you find an interested buyer will probably depend on how "like new" they are. Most of the sets on ebay are off wrecks and are usually well worn with scuffs and scratches.
When I first acquired my 2011 XJL I bought a set of normal front sills still new in their box. The fronts on my car were still in great shape but the price was too cheap to pass them up.
Since then I managed to find a NIB full set of lighted ones in the correct style for my 2011. So now I have a full set of "like new" normal ones and the 2 new front ones. I am keeping them on the chance I may need them someday.
So are yours worth anything? Perhaps the 2016 set since more of the later cars are still out there, and possibly somebody might want to "upgrade" the style on an older model year as well. Still it won't be much. Maybe $100 for a really good clean set. If yours are not of that quality then might as well expect to give them away.
About whether to list them officially here in the classifieds. I think that is the correct thing to do if you want a monetary transaction.
The only time I haven't listed the parts in classifieds is when I am giving stuff away to the first PM I receive claiming them. Since I ate those shipping expenses I got no complaints from management.
Good luck finding a new home for them.
