I had a random thought flow through my head on the drive home and looking to see what others think of it and am after a little bit of brain storming at this point to make the other half a little more J-ish. This is the basic idea atleast for the X:
What I am invisioning is the white part would be done up on a silver (reflective?) vinyl with the black printed in place. The green is just to simulate the car body color. Where I need help is coming up with a "J" that would work with this. I am somewhat thinking about rotating the leaper a little further and then resizing the leaper so it would maintain the same width, but become a little shorter, with the hope of accenting the curve of the leaper, making it look more like a J. This aspect will be coming shortly as I spend more time with the paint program and work out what I have envisioned in my head. This in the final version would be about the size of the "XJ" is now on the car with part of the point being that at a quick glance, you would think it was a normal "XJ". But, on closer inspection, you would see the two leapers leaping past each other.
With the wife having a fancy cutter, cutting this out in vinyl after printing should be fairly easy.
What you think? Taking the whole leaper thing a little too far? Honest, you are not going to hurt my feelings if you think it is going to look like @#$%.
Stuart, keep in mind that this is only half of what I have in mind. I was running out of time last night. I will see if I can complete the rest of the logo.
