XJL Entertainment Remote not working
Hi there! I've recently picked up a 2012 XLJ Supersport after my old XF finally kicked the bucket. It's an amazing car with just one obvious fault - the remote in the back. It doesn't turn on, but the two yellow LEDs flash constantly when it's out of its cradle. It looks as if it is properly seated. Any thoughts on this much appreciated.
It might just need a new battery after more than a decade of use by the previous owner, or this might be a known fault. The manual suggests the remote is not user-serviceable, but I reckon changing the battery might be within my capabilities.

I have seen this on Aliexpres which should work 1200mAh Battery for Range Rover Touchscreen Rear Entertainment
Thanks very much - I'll give it a go. I found a *similar* battery, although it didn't have the third wire, just + and -. It also produced two yellow flashing LEDs - and no amount of driving around would convince the remote to do anything else. I'll give your suggestion a try. If that doesn't work - the remote may just be knackered in some other way. I did see somebody had posted a very similar issue in 2011, but there were no replies.
Drat - just found that aliexpress won't ship that battery to the UK.

I noticed the were other aliexpress sellers so try searching for CS-RTE451SL. I also found a landrover part number for the battery AH42-19H516-AA & AH42-10C864-AA if that helps and try the landy forums for other user experiences as the remote was used in various LR vehicles.
