Nice addition. And a vert to boot. The fleet is still intact although only five start without fiddling. Had one up for sale a couple years ago but two weeks later a coon or cat knock a dog crate off a shelf in the shed which of coarse landed on the hood. So it was pulled and I have yet to take it in for repair.
Floor is out. Removing the sound deadening is a blast. Twisted wire wheel on electric drill worked best. The process of massaging the two now to play nice together begins. Right after I cut, flange and plug fuel and brake lines.
And what's up with the gas tank. Straps off, fuel lines disconnected and snap ring on fuel filler neck removed. It's like it's welded in place. I'm not aware of any other fasteners. I spect it has attached itself to the wrap it sits on?
The wheel base has been established. 93.5"
Very pleased with how the section turned out. Rockers lined up extremely well. A little work on the outter is needed as the apex of the bow is different from the inside. No welding for some time as there is much to do.
Have you seen the Daimler Corsica project that Jaguar built years ago? It was a non running two door version of an X300, just a show pony. Jaguar had no intention of producing a running car let alone putting it into production. However one of the well known Jaguar workshops took over the car and completed everything to make it a legal running vehicle. If you Google Daimler Corsica you’ll find the whole story.
