1997 Daimler Double-Six Breakdown Oil Warning Engine Rattle
Gents,
So the garage carrying out the repair work have confirmed the oil pump was completely broken. I guess I'm one of the rare unlucky people that have had their oil pump break on a V12!
A new one was ordered from the UK and the car is now alive and well again I'm told (I'll be picking it up in a few days).
Could I seek your objective opinion on how many hours of labour this kind of work would take? My bill covers 50 hours. Sound about right?
Cheers all.

Good news.
Not knowing the procedure route they took, I reckon it is fair.
Access to that pump, and then the other associated work looking for and cleaning any metal in the oil system is 100% time consuming.
Just to do a timing chain is 25+ on average.
Good luck.
