96 value
Kelly Blue book is worthless on a car they only made 249 of. A Camry, F150, any BMW, Chevy etc..., it is probably spot on as the made 10's of thousands of them. The car will be worth something someday but today not so much. Without knowing anything about the car if it was mine with those miles I would not let it go for under $10 grand. And at that price point we just weeded out 99% of the potential buyers. If you have time it would sell at that price or higher but you would have to spend some money marketing it. If it had the two tone green interior to go along with your Seafrost green paint it would have already been sold... to me. If you have the ability to hang on to it there are only about 180 ish of these 96's in North America of which I would guess less than a hundred are still on the road.

Agreed about the value as you guys state, not easy to put a definite number on it. But it's gotta be a real special example to hit 5 figures.
Heads up 1 of 19: Looking at Flex's ad in Marketplace, I think I'm seeing the Parchment/Sage interior. The second ad (a double-post) says Parchment interior. Flex will confirm with the interior color code which should be HEZ. The only other car Parchment is possibly seen in is the Jade Green Vanden Plas (in the US). Certainly desirable, at least to me!
So that is value added for you, Flex.
Right now there is a white 96 on The Bay with only 28k miles, and priced at a worldly $44,900! I'm not sure how that value added up!!

Did they cite any reasons or just deny it? A low mileage, maintained and cared-for example of a limited production car in a rare and unique color combination sounds just like what BaT wants to promote.
The real story may be that there is still a great stigma attached to V12 Jaguars, unless that Jaguar is considered a classic and worthy of a collection. A daily driver? No way.
There have been several sales of bare bones X300 XJ6 lately, two at $8k and one at $16,500! Apparently there is no bidder's reluctance with the six cylinder cars.
The X305 is not old enough to be a classic, and not enough of them are out there to show just how great this last generation is!

Yes, I'm sure the "V12 reputation" is part of the picture in the value and marketability of these cars.
Actually, though, a LOT of the flagship/high-end models from BMW, Mercedes, and the like, are similarly low-valued. They're "easier to buy than they are to own". They're simply considered too risky; too difficult and expensive to keep on the road unless you're a die-hard enthusiast and ardent DIYer. And, even then, you may face some challenges. Thus the more mainstream/common models begin to look very attractive.
Cheers
