Default Brake Hose is XJ12 specific ?!?!?

SNG Barratt lists the XJ12 as using an XJ12 only brake hose MNA5670AA with no aftermarket substitute listed… for $75.96 each! Non V12 uses MNA5680AA, and they list aftermarket as cheap as $15.63. Rock auto makes no distinction between 6.0 and non 6.0… and they have Raybestos for like $8. The hoses I just removed were Sunsong brand. Had anyone been forced to use expensive XJ12 only brake hoses?

I can't see what the difference would be. The hose fits between a hard pipe and the caliper....both of which are the same throughout the X300 series regardless of engine

Cheers

The V - 12 has , if I recall from someone else in changing the piston O - rings , larger caliper pistons so may dictate the caliper as a whole is different requiring different hose fittings

It could be the front brakes are larger and the rear the same as regular
