I am collecting brake parts for a front brake job (96xj6) I have rotors, pads, rebuilt calipers and brake hoses. Does the front brake hose use copper washers on the ends? The new hoses did not come with them and I need to know if these are required for the job.

 

That is a definite must; wonder why yours did not come with the copper washers.

 

Well I did the front today and I found out why the new front brake hoses did not come with new copper washers, this setup does not use them, the metal ends on the the brake hoses are tapered on one end and flared on the other, kind of like a brake line, so no sealing washer is used.
